How about some pictures?

My sister's completed Hemlock Ring Doily Throw

Spinning for an eventual Vine Yoke cardigan

Flowers at the Pike Place Market in Seattle, from a trip three years ago. The weather has been vile here, so I thought a little brightness wouldn't hurt. Actually, the sun is out today. I almost forgot what it looks like.

OK, I have to have a brief whinge here. I *know* I live in the Northeast, and I *know* we're better prepared to deal with snow and cold. I *know* we're more experienced in driving in more than a dusting of snow. But please bear in mind that doesn't mean the roads are scraped clean before we have to leave for work. Nor does it mean that we ENJOY driving in three inches of slushy snow that's also freezing over. Things don't close down (including school) unless it's a whole lot worse, which makes for very unpleasant travel more often than not.

Thank you. That is all.

It's cold. I'm freezing. I like snow, but... it's cold.
Nice pictures! Warm blanket.

After years in Chicago where the snow plows get ready in August, I am shocked that almost no plowing happens in Colorado. We have so many former Californians in town that life is a terror on the road.
Thank goodness a little sun clears a lot of snow.
Enjoy your blanket. I hope your house is warm and cozy!

That's some very pretty yarn you're spinning there! (doily blanket isn't too shabby, either)

I saw the sun this morning - which I was very happy for. Definitely necessary after this past week. It's just...yuck.

Thank you for sharing the pictures!

Awesome, you've been productive! I wish I could gather the *umph* to spin again! Your singles look great. What fiber is that?

Loooove the Pike Place photo. Strange that I always think of the market as a dreary place (guess that's what happens when you grow up in Seattle) as the photo is so bright and colorful!
